Though the following rules have not been officially adopted by the Society,
they assist us in carrying out activities
in a safe, friendly, and professional manner.
Kitchen Area Rules
- Never leave the kitchen area unattended. There should be at least one person in the
kitchen at all times.
- Keep all personal items (mugs, etc.) off of the kitchen tables.
- Do not burn trash in the fire.
- Everyone is responsible for cleaning their own eating utensils.
- Use the dippers, not your mug, for getting water or tea.
- Do not use the kitchen area as a gathering spot while meals are being prepared,
particularly around the tables.
- Be constantly aware of visitors in the kitchen area. Hold down the 20th Century chatter
so we can talk to visitors easily without a lot of distraction. (This is a good idea for
the camp as a whole. 20th Century chatter can spoil the atmosphere we are trying to
create.)
- Shirts are required at all meals.
- No shaving or cleaning muskets in the kitchen area.
